Life in the Mountains

It’s Fall: Get Out and Explore!

Fashion girl enjoying in the park at autumn

In our opinion, Asheville is one of the most beautiful places to be in the fall. The trees exploding in vibrant colors and the crisp, cool temperatures create the perfect combination to explore the mountains around us. Whether your new in town or an Asheville native, there is always something to discover in the mountains!

Check out the leaves

You can monitor the fall foliage forecast to find out peak leaf viewing dates. Whether you choose to take in the view by soaring over the treetops, cruising the Blue Ridge Parkway or hiking through the forest, when fall arrives Asheville is the place to be.

Explore the food and drink scene

The Asheville food scene is hard to beat, especially when enjoyed outside on a crisp fall today. Grab a beer, pull up a chair, and relax while taking in the sights and sounds the city has to offer.

Discover a farm
Round up the kids and head out to Eliada where you can navigate a corn maze, catch a hayride, or zoom through a tube slide all for a good cause! Or if you’re up for a barn dance, pumpkin patch, and petting zoo swing over to Hickory Nut Gap Farm for a rousin’ good time!

Race to the Taps at New Belgium Brewery

As a proud sponsor of Race to the Taps, we spent last Saturday cheering on the runners at New Belgium Brewery. We enjoyed watching the hundreds of unicorns, super heroes, Power Rangers and others who participated this year. Runners completed a four mile or eight mile course in the area surrounding New Belgium and had a beer waiting for them at the finish line.
